About Optimum

Optimum Communications Development Ltd specialises in the art and science of communicating with varied audiences. Over recent years, the company has focused on developing new methods to understand and assist effective communication in English.

As well as services to researchers, students and writers, the company offers the Everyday English Editor (see www.optimum-uk.com). This web-based benchmarking and editing tool is designed to help public sector organisations communicate more effectively with the public.

Founded in 1987, Optimum initially provided consultancy and writing services to IT companies including Lucent, Microsoft and Hewlett-Packard. It also completed projects for the UK Central Office of Information and Department of Trade and Industry.
